Font matching
- The mechanism by which CSS handles font properties, like weight or style. Generally speaking, font matching works by a user agent determining the font properties needed for the display of a given element, to then compare them against a database of supported font properties. Depending on the requested font properties, the user agent may use a font family that matches the respective properties, or pick an alternative family that is close in appearance.
