Java Language Specification
- A technical specification that defines the Java programming language in a way that is independent of any particular implementation, such as the Java Development Kit (JDK). The JLS was originally created and maintained by Sun Microsystems, but has later been maintained by Oracle as part of the Java Platform, Standard Edition (Java SE). The first version of the JLS was released in 1996. ↑ webglossary.info/x/j25n
