- A programming language developed as part of the Cappuccino web development framework, designed as a strict superset of JavaScript that adds features like class-based inheritance, dynamic message passing, and Smalltalk/Objective-C syntax. Any valid JavaScript code is also valid Objective-J code, and programs written in Objective-J are preprocessed (either at run-time in the browser or via compilation) into pure JavaScript without requiring browser plugins. Objective-J was created in 2008.
