• An augmented version of the XML Information Set (Infoset) that results from validating an XML document against an XML Schema, containing the original document structure plus additional validation-related information. The PSVI includes three components: the original instance infoset, schema component information (declarations and type definitions from the schema), and instance infoset enhancements (properties describing the relationship between the instance and schema).
