- A collection of technologies developed as open standards by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and other standardization bodies such as the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG), the Unicode Consortium, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), and Ecma International.
